Who Am I?
MY NAME IS JAYDENE
I love birth and people who give birth and people who help people give birth. I love supporting parents through those tender first weeks after the arrival of a new baby.
I’m a parent and my baby came into the world in my living room under the care of a pair of midwives. It was the most beautiful and powerful experience of my life. I decided to become a doula to help other birthing people find their power through birth as well. I’m a queer who loves helping queer people become parents. I’m a feminist who believes in your right to get an abortion. I’m a Métis (SK) woman who would love to help you honour your birth traditions. I’m a firm advocate when you need me to be. I believe that pregnancy and birth (and even abortion) should be treated as rites of passage and I’m here to help you honour those transitions.
